Death Valley is a desert valley located in Eastern California, in the northern Mojave Desert, within the United States. It's known for extreme heat, being one of the hottest places on Earth, and its unique geologic formations and landscapes. Mysteriously, rocks in Death Valley are known to move. The phenomenon is seen in a dry lakebed called the Racetrack Playa. Large rocks move across the flat surface, leaving long tracks behind them, likely due to a combination of wind, water, and ice.  However, the exact mechanisms behind this movement were not fully understood until recent studies suggested that a unique combination of ice sheets, wind, and occasional rain allows these rocks to slide across the playa. Ants do sleep, but their sleep patterns differ from those of mammals. Rather than having a consolidated period of sleep, ants take numerous short "power naps" throughout the day and night, usually lasting just a few minutes each. Regarding their respiratory system, ants do not have lungs like mammals do. Instead, they have tiny tubes called tracheae (interconnected to spiracle) that allow oxygen to pass through their bodies.
