Misophonia: Aversion for certain sounds.

Misophonia is a condition (tagged as an actual brain disorder) characterized by a strong emotional reaction or aversion to specific sounds, often referred to as "trigger sounds." These sounds can cause intense discomfort, anger, or anxiety in individuals with misophonia.

Common triggers include chewing, slurping (eating), or repetitive noises (even breathing). Therapy and coping strategies may help manage the symptoms of misophonia.
