The human owl
Martin Laurello (Nicknamed; The Human Owl) , whose real name was Raymond Robinson, was a sideshow performer known for his unusual ability to turn his head 180 degrees. He gained fame in the early 20th century for this unique talent and often performed in sideshows and circuses. His act was a result of a medical condition called hypermobility of the neck joints rather than any supernatural ability. Laurello's act was both fascinating and disturbing to audiences of his time.
